Manolo Paz is one of the most recognized Iberian sculptors in the last decades. Starting his career in the mid 1980’s with the widely recognized gallery Fernando Vijande, he has participated in numerous fairs and exhibitions around the world.
In the mid 1990’s Paz carries out the most relevant sculptural group in Galicia, Familia de Menhires, settled in the proximities of the Hercules Tower. This piece was featured in many publications, such as the cover of National Geographic magazine. Awarded with the Galician Culture Prize in 2016, many of his works can be visited in his foundation, Fundación Manolo Paz, in Cambados.
His work is part of important collections such as AENA, CGAC Centro Galego de Arte Contemporanea (Santiago de Compostela), Fundación Pilar I Joan Miró (Palma de Mallorca), among others.
