The Galician artist Manolo Paz invites us to take a walk along Paseo del Prado and Paseo de Recoletos, guided by twelve of his sculptures. Perfectly integrated in the city’s architecture and the public space, celebrating Unesco’s designation of this avenue as World Heritage.
Manolo Paz is one of the most unique sculptors in the art scene. Through his practice, he aims to turn inanimate matter into art and transform landscape. His work can be traced from Galicia to Japan’s outdoor spaces, but also at cityscapes like Brussels, Stuttgart or Chicago. Up to seven museums and exhibition centers are connected by this landmark natural corridor. Populated with art, culture and green areas, this is the perfect arena for a dialogue with contemporary art, and there’s no better spokesman than Manolo Paz whose craftsmanship has nature as a cornerstone.
