The façade and industrial space of the historic Ambar brewery once again becomes the backdrop for an exhibition, this time featuring Jorge Fuembuena (Zaragoza, 1979), who presents a selection of portrait photographs as part of the International Festival of Photography and Visual Art - PhotoESPAÑA
About his work, his friend and teacher Bernard Plossu writes: ‘Years ago, the wonderful Madrid magazine Nueva Lente published a special issue: La Realidad existe, and another issue entitled La Realidad no existe. This philosophy could well be applied today to Jorge Fuembuena’s creation; Reality or not? Truth or lie? How to convey the smells of things, of places, in photographs? Do they have the smells of life? Yes, but with delirium. Delirium without a real continuation, Rimbaud/ Fuembuena. Delirium and disorder are stronger than order and beauty. Successful photos, failed photos, nothing matters. Everything without objectives. And that is called FREEDOM’.
