Maider López’s work, as Miren Eraso explains “is on the border between art, architecture and design, between the functional and the aesthetic; in that intermediate space between the useful and the useless. That space-frontier in which our present is situated."
The work is carried out specifically for the exhibition space. The piece is a starting point to begin descovering the building. You start looking at how the building is constructed through the piece. This enters into relation with the architectural space showing us, reminding us where we are with respect to ourselves. It offers us a topographic map. It helps us rebuild space, reality.
