In this exhibition, entitled Nihil Obstat, Fernando Sánchez Castillo parts from marginal elements of convulsive historical processes of the 20th century. Elements that, generally, arose from opposition to an institutionalized power and that in reality had more a utopian value than a practical one. They worked from an aesthetic plane of operation rather than from an effective one. These are little stories of failures, of clashes, of idealistic and revolutionary stubbornness but that develop in environments and structures that lead them to be seen from our current perspective as poetic gestures born with the certainty of their uselessness. Hence its proximity to the artistic.
