The artist Eugenio Ampudia presents “Be a Tree Now!”, a transmedia action for climate justice.
The Botanical Garden of the Complutense University of Madrid will be the venue for the public presentation of Eugenio Ampudia’s new work on Tuesday, October 24, International Day against Climate Change, at 12:30 p.m.
The presentation, with the collaboration of the National Dance Company, takes place in the best possible location. An artistic action in which people represent themselves as trees will be carried out in a space inhabited by 800 plant species. Demonstrating empathy with other species and raising awareness about the climate emergency is the very essence of the action.
“Be a Tree Now!” is an open, cross-cutting, and participative work that will conclude in 2024 with an audiovisual piece by the artist documenting the action.
