‘La cabeza incolora’ in Centro de Arte Moderno y Contemporáneo de Castilla-La Mancha

Jan 1 2024 - Jan 12 2025

Bernardí Roig (Palma de Mallorca, 1965), one of the artists with the greatest international projection of the current Spanish art scene, shows at the Toledo headquarters of the Centro de Arte Moderno y Contemporáneo de Castilla-La Mancha a selection of works made in the last ten years that acquire new meanings in the spaces of the Convent of Santa Fe, a place full of history and innovation, where the past and the present merge.

Visitors who come to the art center until January 12, 2025, will be surprised by the disturbing sculptural figures that appear unexpectedly in different rooms. Roig exhibits in Toledo after three simultaneous shows in Malaga -at the Centre Pompidou, the Museo Casa Natal Picasso and the Russian Museum Collection-, where he paid tribute to the creator of Guernica on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death, creating an artistic story based on his identities and masks, with the figure of the Minotaur playing a leading role, and before coming to The Phillips Collection (Washington D. C.) next May. C), with The Head of Goya, where he dialogues with the only figure of the classic in this important private collection.
