Javier de Juan, considered by critics as one of the main representatives of the New Spanish Figuration, will be exhibiting a new series of works on January 24, 2002 under the title "Artificial Paradises". Over the last few years the artist has been creating an artificial parallel world in which to show small personal paradises. From a room (exhibited in the last edition of the Arco fair) to a bar or a train compartment (this can be seen in Arco 02).
